My background prior to that was in retail and a change was sought to take more control of my life and spend time with my then young family. The choice was the right one for me and I have built up long-term friendships with many clients over the years. I enjoy being able to assist in planning the security of aspects of people’s lives and to be there to help when things go wrong.
I find we’re now dealing with the next generation of our original clients and it is very satisfying to have that relationship of trust. My philosophy has always been to treat others with respect and provide the best possible service and advice so we can maintain a long-term relationship. That way we all benefit.
Our aim is to be the one contact for all of our clients’ insurance needs, making it easier for them to get on with their lives knowing that things are taken care of. ‘Thinking of insurance? Think of us.’

Once I hung up my boots, I packed my bag and headed to South America for just under a year without knowing a word of Spanish. Ten months later my Spanish had improved, my camera was packed with pics and I had stories by the dozen, however, it was time to return home.
South America gave me a new outlook on life. I could have taken the easy road and slipped back into an administrative role as I have done successfully in the past, but I wanted to make a difference. I have now found a career as an insurance adviser where I can do just that. I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life, sitting down with them and working together to make plans for today and into the future. If disaster strikes, the plans we have put in place help my clients to maintain the lifestyle they were accustomed to.

My studies in English and Psychology did not naturally point to a career in the insurance and mortgage industries to say the least. Today, however, I am pleased to be working in such a challenging and interesting environment, with supportive colleagues and a great base of clients (both old and new) with whom I look forward to building lasting relationships.
I returned to New Plymouth in 2004 after completing my university studies. Aside from that time away, I have lived here since I was 8 years old. I enjoy spending my leisure time with the many friends and family I have who also call Taranaki home.

I have over 15 years experience, the last 10 years was spent working in various roles at ASB Bank, from Customer Service Officer through to Branch Manager.
I needed to make a life change after having my two daughters, so I sort out a challenging part time role, so that I could spend more time with my family, yet still work within the industries that I love.
It is a privilege to have joined the team at The Advisers in a business support role.
Ensuring our clients receive the best possible service and assistance is my number one priority and I enjoy building relationships with our clients.
